Benihana and Bowling

Kari and the boys are leaving soon.  It doesn't feel right since we have hardly seen them.  With the move, preparing for Christmas (shopping) and the extreme cold temps we have had lately it's been hard to get together.  Today we wanted to spend the day doing something so we decided on lunch and bowling.  We were trying to think of a place that would be different to take the kids so we settled on Benihana.  A little more expensive than your typical lunch but Kari and the boys aren't home all the time and we thought the kids would love it.
We were right!  They got a kick out of watching the chef and loved the fact that our chef's name was Agustin!  We loaded up on veggies, fried rice, chicken, shrimp and shrimp sauce!  YUM!

I look over and see Hailey copying the word Benihana off of her hat to write on our to-go container.
I love watching her write.  She is getting better and better at it and usually always has a pen and paper in her hands.  She loves to doodle and 'take your order' with her notepads.
She often will fill a page with letters and then bring it to you to see if you can translate it for her.  Every so often she actually spells a word and gets so proud of herself!

After lunch we made our way to Park Tavern for a few bowling games.
The kids had fun and we learned that it was going to take a LOT to beat Nico- he is quite the bowler!

After bowling we went to grandma Bauer's for the usual Farewell Popcorn Party.

Sure am going to miss these guys again!

I love to see Hailey's writing too! Violet is very resistant to writing....to much pressure I think.
