Hannah:  "Mom, can you hand me my Barbie and her toppings?"

Oh you lil' stinker

While in the bath this evening Hailey was splashing and getting water all over the floor of the bathroom...

Me:  "Hailey!  Stop splashing.  Look what you did, the bathroom is soaking wet!"
Hailey:  "Ha Ha!"
Me:  "Hailey Renee!  That is not Ha Ha.  You made a huge mess.  Keep the water in the bathtub!"
I thought I was actually being a little stern and she knew I was mad.
So, said with a Lil' Stinker attitude she responded with "Hee Hee"

Not my idea of how to end the weekend

Think the Ibuprofen was working?  Thought maybe it was laced with  morphine :-)

There was a lot of crying.
We eventually arrived at St John's ER.
Xrays taken- came out negative.

Hannah had gotten into some trouble tonight.  Brian brought her to her room.  Turned and closed the door.  A few minutes later the crying- well screaming, started.
10 minutes later Brian went to check on her and found her holding her arm.

The pain seemed to be in her shoulder, elbow, wrist, fingers, and forearm.
Yup, my thoughts too- where doesn't it hurt?!
I was concerned about Nurse Maid's elbow so I attempted to move her elbow back and forth.
It didn't seem to do anything and I was out of tricks so we made a trip to the ER.

My poor baby was a mess.  She was obviously in pain and was still too upset to talk about it.
By the time we saw the nurse she was able to remember that she had 'jumped' (I am guessing threw) herself on the bed.  When she landed she heard a crack and then her arm felt heavy.
Yikes

I was glad to soon learn that it was not broken.  We made our way back home and checked in after midnight.  *sigh*

We would end up staying home tomorrow due to the continued arm pain.  Monday the complaint was much closer to her wrist and by Wednesday the pain was pretty much gone.  Whew!

Big Time fun

We purchased the tickets almost 6 months ago.
Grandma Joyce bought the t-shirts over 3 months ago.
It's finally time for the Big Time Rush concert!

Lindsay, Kiley, Hannah, Madeline
Stacey and I were the chaperones.  We started with dinner at Snuffy's Malt Shop.
Good thing the girls still think we are kind of cool so they 'let us' be seen with them.
Actually even let us hold their hands!

Each girl had a special bounce in her step as we made our way inside to find out seats.
Rachel Crow and Cody Simpson opened for them.  They were both very good (for as much as I saw).
It was hard to get the girls to settle in- Hannah especially was very anxious and excited so she was asking questions about where they were, how much longer before they come on stage, etc.

They eventually made it and the girls went crazy!
Dancing, singing and even screaming.

Hats off to Tyler! His team won the championship game of the Mauer Cup tonight (baseball).

Sherwood Lounge to Maplewood Apartments to A1 Tattoo

The planning started taking place in June.
When Kari comes home this summer we MUST have a slumber party.

The day was finally here!
We all brought snacks to share.  An hour or so into the night we needed to make a stop to the liquor store.
Jenny 'checked us in' = Sherwood Lounge
Well, not really but close enough, or so we are told

We got back to Kari's and proceeded to look through old magazines and yearbooks, telling stories of the good 'ol days.  There were lots of laughs- good times!
Check in = Maplewood Apartments
Well, not really but close enough

We started the movies.  Sixteen Candles came first.

We had more laughs, snacks and drinks.

Jenny applied a nice facial mask to her face and Kari's bathroom.
Check in = A1 Tatttoo
Not even close but it sure was a good conversation topic and produced a lot of incoming texts

We said goodbye to Long Duck Dong and hello to Sandra Dee.
Final Check in = Rydell High

SUCH a great evening!

Special thanks to Jennie, Kim, and Kristin for watching the kids for us!  Felt so amazing to have a night out knowing that our kids were having fun just right around the corner (or outside the door).

Pop-in Playtime

Kari and I were looking for something to do with the kids today.  We talked about the zoo and Eagle's Nest.  We threw around a few other ideas and then I looked online and checked out Pump-it-Up.   They had a pop-in-playtime scheduled for today.   $6 per kid for 90 minutes of play.

The.  Kids.  Loved.  It.

Hailey especially loved the obstacle course.  I went in with her the first time and once I saw that she could get through it herself I was able to watch her from the outside.  She worked so hard to get through that huge bouncer and at the end was rewarded with a ride down the slide.

Hannah liked the big slide best.
She was very sweet to Hailey today, carrying her mat up for her and letting Hailey ride down on her lap.

Agustin and Nicolas loved the Air Hockey the most.

You can have mine

Hannah: "Hailey wait right here.  I need to get a band-aid.  I will be right back."
Hailey:  "Wait Hannah, you have one of mine."

In just a few short days.....

Just a few short days ago I completed my online purchase.  I love shopping online because you can find pretty much absolutely anything you would ever want to buy but I get impatient waiting.
When I placed my order I was told it would only be 4 days before my package arrived.  3 days later it was here!

What is it?!
Well I am glad you asked.

A telephoto lens that connects to my iPhone :-)

Pizza Pub Friday

Last Friday when we got to the cabin, our first stop was Pizza Pub.
It's turning into our 'thing'.
Here are a few pictures we took last Friday that I loved too much not to post.

Hannah, Kari and Nicolas

Hannah and Kas were playing the 'Plumber Crack' game and giggling the whole time.  I loved how he would put his arm on the back of her chair as he watched while it was her turn.

Hailey and Mommy decided we should take a picture.  We faced the camera so we could see ourselves...you can tell Hailey is looking RIGHT at herself.

I love her expression here (above)!

Sunday, SUNday

Sunday was HOT.  The sun was shining bright and it's days like this that I am thankful for the lake to keep the kids busy and a little hydrated.

CHEESE!

Our kids are lucky to have aunts that love them so much and pay so much attention to them!  Such lucky kids and such lucky parents to have so many adults that love our kids and help to look out for them.

BUDS!
Quick story from earlier this week:
Hannah and Hailey were asking for a popscicle when they got home from daycare.
Hailey asked is she could eat hers in the ship.
Guess this boat does look like a ship when you are only a few feet high!

More jumping from the dock.
Hannah was enjoying belly flopping into the water.  She was getting really brave with that life jacket on.  Later on this day, Joe (Kim's boyfriend) took the kids out in the water.  He must of been on his knees the whole time because they looked far out but then when he stood up the water was only to his waist.  The kids LOVED it.  They splashed and swam and Joe threw them in the water.

This picture of Joe and Kim was NOT taken this weekend but just realized that I didn't have one so I stole one from Facebook from last summer because Joe has got to make the blog!

Seaweed Lagoon

Welcome to Seaweed Lagoon!

Due to the high waters this year they were unable to treat the lake for weeds.
The weeds weren't bothering the kids so the grown ups would scoop up handfuls as we could and make piles on the dock.

The afternoon started with boat rides.
Isn't it cute?  Oh sorry, adorable?

The kids came with Brian and I for the first trip. Hailey was on my lap and since Brian was driving it was hard to get a picture of her too.    The kids were real excited and even though we told them that we would probably go slow they insisted that we go 'super fast'!

All:  "WEE!"
All: "Cowabunga!"
Agustin: "This is better than DisneyWorld!"
Brian, Tom, Bobby- 'Adult Ride'
Jennie and Kristin were up front and Kimmy and Kari were waiting on shore with me for our turns

Seaweed Lagoon is known for it's shallow waters which allows the kids to jump from the dock.  Over and over and over.  They forget that the dock gets slippery when wet so every 20 seconds an adult is reminding them "Don't run on the dock!"

Hailey loves to jump from the dock also and is getting more and more brave each week asking her catcher to go farther and farther from the dock.

The Hailey Monster Files

I walked into the bathroom to find Hailey checking herself out in the mirror.
She was really proud of what she had done...until I walked in.

Me:  "Hailey Renee!  What did you do?!"
Hailey:  "Mommy, you makeup pilled (spilled)"
said with such an innocent tone

Spilled?!
Huh, looks to me like a little one decided to twist it all the way up, put it on and then push the cap on nice and tight.  Spilled?!  WITH that cute face...nicely played little one, nicely played.

Only three games left

Another beautiful day for a ballgame.
As I was pulling the tickets out for the game today I felt sad.  There are only three games left (including today).  It was a little tricky to find parking today being that it's a day game during the week- we will need to think about that again next year and stay away from those games, it's tricky to get around and parking was way more expensive.

Kids Bowl Free

Earlier this year mom sent Kari and I a link to a website where we could register the kids for free summer bowling.  You pick a location, register your kids and then each Sunday night get coupons emailed to you for free bowling.  The kids get two free games everyday.  You just pay for shoes.
Kari and I both signed up for Pinz in Oakdale and Sun Ray Lanes in Maplewood.

Today we decided to take the kids to Pinz for their first day of free bowling.

This place was like Vegas for kids!  A HUGE arcade, resturant, lanes...it was super cool!

Love this picture of Agustin!  It was hard to get them away from their game to pose for a picture but they were good sports about it.

LOVE little kid bowling shoes!

Hannah is the top H, then Hailey, then mommy (first game scores)
