Christmas IS happening

Thankfully Lula and Brian are making sure Christmas happens this year.

Only a few weeks away and we finally have stockings!

On the Move

 We have a very busy day today.

Hannah has a basketball game this morning and then this afternoon the girls have a dance show.

We see that Lula also has a love for high heels :-)

 

  Hannah has really enjoyed playing basketball this year.  So far she is much more interested in the fact that Jacob is on her team and each week she is excited to see what kids are on the other teams.  She is improving so I think there is some interest there :-)

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall

I grabbed the Kohls ad off the counter today and had to snap a picture of what I found inside.  Hailey is back at it!  Circling all of the things that she would like for Christmas.  That's my girl!  Always wants the high heels.

All I Want For Christmas

 All Lula wants for Christmas is Root Beer Floats, Dolls and Crayons.

 

 All Hannah wants for Christmas is her two front teeth!

Sock-ing Caps

 Hannah woke this morning to find Lula camping out in her sock drawer.  She noticed something 'different' but couldn't really tell what had happened until she turned her light on.  

 Once again, twins.  All the way down to the boots.

Let the good times roll

Never a dull moment around here in December.  Lula has brought many, many laughs to our home.

Tic-Tac-Oh Gross

The girls came running to the island this morning to find Lula and Elsa playing Tic-Tac-Toe.

I was already at work but got a message from Brian that sure enough, they ate the marshmallows.....that had been colored on with Sharpie marker.  Ick!

Loriann and I were back at it today and this time around folks were looking for it.

And the undies were hung by the window with care

Hailey was NOT impressed with Lula this morning.

Not. At. All.

The girls and I spent the day getting the lights and ornaments on the tree.  It feels so good to have it done.  The tree looks really good and finally takes up some of the space in our empty living room.

 

We Wish You a Pencil Christmas

  Lula gave the girls a run for their money this morning.  They could not find her for the longest time and I think actually ended up stumbling across her on accident. 

Today is my aunt Vicki's annual Christmas party.  This year the theme was a pencil.  I had a few ideas so naturally thought it would be pretty easy to execute any of them and ended up waiting until today to get started.  My first idea was to create a reindeer.  It wasn't the worst but it was HUGE.  I just wasn't into it so decided to go more traditional with a tree (there will probably be at least 10 of these there, oh well, at least I will fit in)

Surprisingly, not too many trees today.  There was a frame, a gingerbread house, a sleigh, a cross, a pencil necklace, a wine holder, and decorated writing utensils.  As always there were lots of laughs and stories reminiscing about past parties and homemade items.  It's always nice to see my aunts and cousins, this time of year always makes me a little sad and I wish that we were all closer. 

 

Twinsies

Loriann and I decided that during the first couple weeks of go live we were going to dress the same.  We own so many of the same items, most of them were accidents and we would irrupt with laughter when the other would come to work wearing the item that we also had at home and a few of the items we either bought together or picked up an additional while we were out shopping. 

The first day it took most people quite a while to notice that we had on the exact same outfit (even down to the shoes!).  The next day it took even longer.....we both thought they would have all caught on but it took some time before they realized that these outfit choices were not accidents.

Lula on the other hand must have been tired from digging up those Christmas lights and this morning we found her chillin' on the table.

 

Trim the Tree

Looks like Lula wanted to be helpful as well and got our tree started.

Probably a good thing considering I am not really sure when I would have time to.

Today is Epic Go Live for the clinics.  Wish me luck!

Sugar anyone?

We woke this morning to the wonderful smell of cheese puffs and skittles!

Things at work have been pretty crazy this year.  We are switching to a new electronic health record which is not an easy task.  I was feeling the stress this year more than normal wondering how I was going to get a tree, wondering how it would get decorated and wondering when all of the shopping was going to get done- all while I am working extra long days at work.

This evening when I got home from work, I walked in the door and immediately could smell it.

A FRESH PINE TREE!

Brian and the girls went and got a tree after work tonight and surprised me.  Ahhh, what a lovely surprise.  Thanks guys!

Lula the TPGirl

There's Frosty the Snowman and then there's Lula the TPGirl.
 

Super impressed by Hannah's official letter from Santa Claus, Hailey decided she wanted to send Santa a picture she drew for him last night.
She too received a response straight from the desk of Santa thanking her for her picture.

Special Delivery

Last night Hannah sent Lula home with a letter to Santa.  She wanted to know if Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer was real.

This morning, after noticing the forks out on the counter, the girls found Lula in the drawer with a letter from Santa, typed up on official North Pole stationary. She was pretty impressed with his letter.

Water anyone?

Lula produced quite the giggles today :-)

The girls wake up a little easier these days. Then they go running down stairs to find Lula.

A Little Outdoor Decor

Today I did some decorating outside.  I love having a porch!  I saw this in a magazine years ago and had always wanted to have a house where this could work.  I absolutely love it!

The girls also woke to find that Lula had found her way into the pantry. 

She Found Us

Looks who's back!

The girls noticed her right away and were so thrilled to see that she found us!  This is our first Christmas in our new home and now that Lula's here it will start to feel like that time of year.  Welcome Back Lula!

The guys rented a lift today to get the lights put onto the house. It was such a smart idea and took them a fraction of the time.  It was freezing today which was quite a bummer- poor guys.
